Sơn Đoòng Cave was found by a local man named Hồ-Khanh in 1991 in Quang Binh province, Vietnam. In 2009 the cave become internationally known after a group of scientists from the British Cave Research Association came inside. Son Doong cave is the largest cave in the world by BCRA and selected as one of the most beautiful in the globe by the BBC news. The cave is more than 200 meters wide, 150 meters high, and approx 9 kilometers long, with caverns big enough to fit an entire city street inside them. I takes 6 hours of hard walking through a 10 kilometer long forest to reach the entrance of the cave.
All informations about the cave and how to get there, you can find here: www.quangbinh.gov.vn and www.sondoongcave.org
